I’m David Rose and I’m a professional journalist, experienced broadcaster, and an engaging communicator.

Beyond Compere is not just my business name – it’s how I describe my services. I am more than just a compere. I can add value to your meetings, conventions and presentations regardless of their scale.

As well as an experienced events host and MC, I’m a longtime journalist, marketer and broadcaster, this range of skills and expertise inspiring my business name.

I’ve hosted and helped smoothly run dozens of disparate events in Tasmania and on the Big Island, from media conferences and product launches to 1000 pax conferences and black-tie dinners.  And everything in between, including 31 consecutive (and un-matched) commentary calls of the iconic Bathurst 1000 motor race.

With a reputation for exceeding expectations, adding value and keeping a cool head when things don’t go to plan, I employ my long experience and (apparently) wry humour to engage and entertain my audiences, regardless of their scale.
